And thanks to the strong singing baritone Simon Christie who can also give a good ‘rap’.
Such an anachrominism gives his business an extra gloss.

There was funny playing without irritating face pulling. The best in this was certainly the baritone Simon Christie in the role of Mydas

Simon Christie and soprano Judith van Wanroij have been engaged this year by International Holland Music Sessions for concerts throughout Holland. The highpoint was their debut in The Concertgebouw Amsterdam where they sang arias and duets from Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, La Boheme and Die Zauberfloete. With their comic timing and mellifluous singing they caused much hilarity. And as Papagena managed to carry Papageno off stage, the audience were standing before they could get back on for the applause.
